We can't be sure that Chuck Jones had Mussorgsky's "Night on Bald Mountain" in mind when he painted this watercolor (although there is no doubt that he would have been familiar with the segment of the same title from Disney's 1940 Fantasia.)  Original watercolor by Chuck Jones, circa 1940s.
